YSRCP slams Balineni for betrayal, corruption

Ongole, March 15: YSRCP Ongole constituency coordinator Chunduri Ravibabu condemned former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy for his remarks against Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Janasena’s formation day event. YSRCP leaders accused Balineni of betraying the party that empowered him, engaging in rampant corruption, and undermining its reputation through covert politics. They dismissed his claims of sacrifice and loyalty as baseless, highlighting his opportunism and self-enrichment.
The leaders challenged Balineni’s criticism of YS Jagan, crediting YV Subba Reddy for securing his MLA ticket despite opposition. They refuted his claim of sacrificing a ministerial post, noting he joined YSRCP only after being excluded from Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet, having served under Rosaiah.
They alleged he amassed crores illegally, using his father-in-law as a benami, and squandered it on lavish gambling trips to Sri Lanka, Goa, and Russia—far exceeding his father’s earnings.
They blamed Balineni for weakening YSRCP in Prakasam district by fostering dissent and secretly aiding TDP from 2014-19. His Janasena remarks were labeled disloyal and hypocritical, with demands to explain his YS family ties via Subba Reddy and his vast assets, including quartz and granite leases. Former PDCC Bank Chairman Madashi Venkayya attributed YSRCP’s district-wide losses to Balineni’s tactics, accusing him of blocking YS Jagan’s directives and exploiting power. His exit, Venkayya said, brought peace, relegating him to a minor Janasena role, chasing rewards for attacking YS Jagan.
The leaders vowed to expose Balineni’s lies, urging the public to see his envy-driven attacks as a bid to revive his career. They pledged to hold him accountable for betraying YSRCP and Prakasam’s people, predicting he’d remain irrelevant in Hyderabad despite boasts of returning as a minister.
