YSRCP seeks police permission for One Crore Signatures Rally on Dec 15

Tadepalli, Dec 12: YSR Congress Party has urged the DGP to grant permission for a state-wide vehicle rally on December 15 to transport the One Crore signature petitions opposing the privatization of newly established government medical colleges.
In a letter to the DGP, YSRCP State General Secretary and MLC Lella Appi Reddy stated that the party has already collected one crore signatures from all Assembly constituencies as part of a massive people’s movement against the State Government’s plan to hand over public-built medical colleges to private operators.
The signature documents reached all district headquarters on December 10 and are scheduled to be transported to the party’s central office at Tadepalli (Vijayawada) on December 15. The party requested the DGP to instruct all district SPs to allow the movement of the rally vehicles carrying the petitions and extend necessary support. YSRCP assured full cooperation to the police to ensure smooth traffic flow and sought adequate security arrangements from the department.
The party further stated that once the petitions reach Vijayawada, former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will meet the Governor on December 18 to submit the one crore signatures and brief him on the public movement. MLC Appi Reddy conveyed all these details to the DGP in his formal request letter.
