*Coalition Govt plays high-drama over deadly adulterated milk incident*

*YSRCP demands CBI probe*

Rajamahendravaram, March 10: Former MP and YSRCP spokesperson Margani Bharat strongly condemned the coalition government's handling of the Rajamahendravaram adulterated milk incident, which has claimed multiple lives and left victims, including infants and elderly, battling severe health issues like kidney failure 24 days after the tragedy. Accusing authorities of high drama and deliberately portraying the case as accidental by releasing one dead body daily, he criticized the failure to release lab reports despite claims of ethylene glycol contamination from a cooling leak.

Bharat questioned why samples are not sent to the National Forensic Laboratory and demanded an immediate CBI inquiry for transparent investigation, alongside exploring angles like urea or pesticide adulteration. He blamed the coalition government's negligence for the deaths, noting that the 2023 Milk Procurement Act introduced under YSRCP could have prevented this through mandatory continuous monitoring if properly enforced. Highlighting inadequate Rs. 10 lakh compensation, compared to Rs. 25 lakh in similar Kakinada fire cases, he demanded Rs. 25 lakh per bereaved family. Bharat also criticised CM Chandrababu Naidu for avoiding victims while promoting his family’s Heritage milk as safe, urging him to visit the affected, hold a review, and release all reports immediately. YSRCP vowed to continue its fight until full justice is delivered through an independent probe.
