*Government buying land for TTD temple ridiculous*

Tirupati, March 9: YSRCP has lambasted Chandrababu for dragging Lord Venkateswara into commercial activity and real estate ventures by buying land in Amaravati which is an unprecedented and highly objectionable.

Speaking to media here on Monday, former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said, TTD has never purchased land for building a temple but it was always done by generous donors since times immemorial but Chandrababu has turned Lord Balaji into a commercial commodity.

Chandrababu government has purchased land 25 acres of land at Rs 50,00,000 12.5 crores at Venkatayapalem as part of the Amaravati project and to pursue its mercantile activity. The government has given land in Amaravati at cheaper and free of cost to other institutions but it turned commercial when it came to TTD. Earlier, land was sought at free of cost but it was turned down and the dharmic institution was made to buy the land.

Never before was such an audacious activity taken up, be it Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu or Odisha always it was donors who gift the land the and bear major share of temple building cost but here Chandrababu has dragged Tirumala into a commercial activity. Historical evidence too points out that land is always given by donors but Chandrababu is repeating his folly on the God.

Even marriage halls (Kalyana Mantapams) were built by donors money and Venkateswara Swamy was never being used for commercial purpose but here He is being used for real estate purpose with the government buying the land from TTD to build a temple.

Chandrababu speaking on Women’s Day said that strict action would be taken against atrocities on women while one offender BR Naidu is still holding on to his post at TTD which shows the sincerity of the government. Though a gag order was brought, the video was viewed by crores of people and still there is no action from the government’s side.

Chandrababu talking that they are the protector of property of Venkateswara is ridiculous as they have been misusing TTD funds to build real estate ventures including flyovers, he said.

The ghee tanker coming to Tirumala has overturned and the Indapur Heritage nexus was not allowed to be discussed in the House which shows that there are many unholy and unpleasant things happening at Tirumala.

Bhagawadgita copies were published in a simple language and when we challenged for a debate on the issue there were no takers, he said.

The latest Swamiji to take up the issue should have been protesting against the TTD land being given to a star hotel and shift it to some other place, he said and sought an apology from the Chief Minister to all the devotees for his policies.
