YSRCP to meet PM, HM over YS Jagan’s security lapses
10 Apr 2025 6:27 PM

Visakhapatnam, April 10: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, Botsa Satyanarayana said YSRCP will approach the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister to address the inadequate security provided to former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to the media at the party’s Visakhapatnam camp office, Botsa condemned the coalition government for deliberately undermining YS Jagan’s Z+ category security since assuming power, citing the recent incident in Ramagiri where YSJagan visited a slain YSRCP worker’s family without basic police protection.
He accused the government of conspiring against YS Jagan, questioning how a former CM with Z+ security is treated with such neglect.
Botsa criticized the coalition government for dismantling democratic values in the state, that it misuses police for political vendetta, files false cases against YSRCP leaders, and fosters a culture of lawlessness. He pointed to the Ramagiri incident as evidence, noting that despite claims of deploying 1,100 police personnel, visuals showed minimal presence, reflecting the government’s negligence and intent. He warned that such governance could spark public revolt, citing similar security lapses in Mahanandi and Guntur, and questioned the government’s excuse of inadequate arrangements by Thoopudurthi Prakash Reddy.
He further slammed TDP MP Srikrishna Devarayalu for calling YS Jagan a “professional killer,” questioning his propriety and upbringing. Botsa highlighted widespread discontent across all sections of society under the coalition’s rule, prioritizing publicity over governance while neglecting farmers, workers, and the poor. He demanded a change in police conduct, bias toward the ruling party, and called for action against officers flouting the law.
The YSRCP reiterated its commitment to ensuring Jagan’s safety, urging the central government to intervene.
