Tadepalli, June 22: YSRCP has demanded that the government should own responsibility for the Krishna Lanka police station incidents besides ordering a CBI probe and suspension of top city police officer to make the investigation free and fair as there are many unanswered questions in the disappearance of Sai Krishna and suicide of Kranti Kumar cases.
Speaking to media here on Monday former minister Ambati Rambabu said Sai Krishna was brought from Markapuram on May 9 by Task Force which works under the supervision of Vijayawada Police Commissioner.
The Task Force was carrying a Non Bailable Warrant (NBW) against Sai Krishna and his whereabouts are not traced till today. If there is a NBW, the accused should have been produced before the court within 24 hours but the matter came to light only after 40 days and after repeated pleas by his family.
Besides CBI probe, suspension of CP, we also demand the names of the persons who brought Sai Krishna from Markapuram, he said.
The case cannot be closed by just making the CI a scapegoat, the Task Force works under the CP and he should he kept away from duty for the investigation to go on in a free and fair manner, he said.
The Kranti Kumar case should also be handled by the CBI as it was registered as a suspicious death but after the video has established that the suicide was due to the police harassment, the charges should be changed to murder and the investigation should proceed on those lines, he said.
Chandrabbau and his deputy Pawan Kalyan are speaking in two different and contrasting voices which shows that the government is hiding some vital information which can come out only in a free and fair investigation by a third party, he said.
