YSRCP demands white paper on Rayalaseema projects
14 Jan 2026 4:24 PM

Tadepalli, Jan 13: YSRCP has demanded a white paper on the funds the coalition has spent on irrigation for Rayalaseema and said Chandrababu closing cases against himself is unprecedented and a mockery of governance.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, party spokesperson SV Satish Kumar Reddy said Nimmala Ramanaidu’s claim that Rs 8,000 crore was spent on Rayalaseema is not backed by any facts, and the coalition should release a white paper on the funds spent in the region.
The Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation scheme is meant to bring water to the arid region and draw water at a lower level from Srisailam, especially when neighbouring Telangana state is lifting water through Kalwakurthy, Palamuru-Rangareddy, and Bhima projects at around 800 feet.
He demanded that the coalition should take an all-party delegation and show the development works corresponding to the claimed Rs 8,000 crore expenditure by January 19, failing which YSRCP will visit all the projects and expose the coalition’s negligence.
The coalition government has stopped the YSRCP delegation from visiting the Kandaleru project in Nellore for no obvious reason, and the party will visit all projects if the State does not release a white paper on Rayalaseema projects.
The government has been collecting commissions to clear contractors, at times reaching up to 25 percent, he said, adding that the party will visit all projects and expose the negligence of the coalition.
Chandrababu closing his own cases is undemocratic, and YSRCP will explore all options to expose him, he said.
