*YSRCP demands Justice for adulterated Milk Victims*

Tadepalli, June 16: Former MP Margani Bharat criticized the State Government over the Rajamahendravaram adulterated milk tragedy, stating that 16 people have lost their lives, yet the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister have failed to visit or console the affected families even after four months. Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office along with victims’ families, he said the government has not released a comprehensive report on the incident and has failed to provide adequate support to children still undergoing treatment.

Bharat demanded that the compensation for the victims’ families be increased from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh and that the government bear all present and future medical expenses. He said it was unfortunate that families were being pressured to discharge critically ill children before complete recovery and called for a written assurance guaranteeing continued treatment and support.

Victims’ families shared their ordeal, stating that despite repeated appeals, they have received little assistance after the initial response from officials. Ruhania’s father said his daughter continues to suffer from kidney complications, while doctors informed them of instructions to discharge her despite incomplete recovery. Another parent said requests for health insurance and government support have gone unanswered.

Margani Bharat said public safety cannot be ignored and reiterated that YSRCP would stand with the affected families until justice is delivered. He stated that former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy personally assured the victims of legal and moral support and demanded immediate government action to fulfill its commitments and protect the interests of the families affected by the tragedy.
