YSRCP condemns illegal arrest of student leader Konda  Reddy

Visakhapatnam, Nov 6: YSRCP has strongly condemned the illegal arrest of Visakhapatnam district student wing president Konda Reddy in a fabricated drugs case, calling it a clear example of political conspiracy by the coalition government to defame the party.
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli district YSRCP president and former minister Gudivada Amarnath, along with Visakhapatnam district president KK Raju, said that Konda Reddy was targeted for questioning the government on fee reimbursement arrears and the privatization of medical colleges. They said police fabricated evidence and assaulted him to extract a forced statement. CCTV footage clearly shows that he  was taken into custody at 7.10 a.m., while the FIR records his arrest as 5.40 p.m. They said this exposes how police manipulated facts to frame a false case.
They questioned why the ruling party’s social media accounts posted about his  arrest hours before it happened, calling it proof of a pre-planned conspiracy. They said the coalition government is misusing the police system to silence students and opposition voices. They also alleged that the police deliberately shifted his  vehicle to different stations to create fake evidence and match their fabricated story.
They demanded an apology from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Home Minister Anita, saying the government has stooped to the level of destroying students’ lives for political gain. They added that YSRCP will extend full legal support to him and his family. They said that YSRCP will continue to fight until justice is done and those responsible for the illegal arrest and false propaganda are held accountable.
