YSRCP condemns assault on AR Constable in Anantapur
02 Aug 2025 11:15 AM

Anantapur, August 1: Former MP Gorantla Madhav and YSRCP Chittoor District President Bhumana Karunakar Reddy strongly condemned the assault on AR Constable Jaswanth by Madan Mohan Reddy, brother of Minister BC Janardhan Reddy, at Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Banagalapalle. Speaking at the YSRCP district office, Madhav demanded the immediate arrest of Madan Mohan, criticizing the coalition government for deteriorating law and order. He criticised CM Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh of turning the police into political pawns, fostering disrespect among coalition leaders. Madhav questioned the silence of police associations, urging them to demand justice to restore their credibility.
Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, in a separate statement, denounced the minister’s brother for physically assaulting and verbally abusing Constable Jaswanth while on duty, calling it a shameful display of arrogance. He expressed solidarity with Jaswanth and demanded that Home Minister Anita take immediate action against the accused. Bhumana criticized the government’s double standards, noting that while a constable faces suspension for aiding a former minister, no action has been taken against the minister’s brother for this public assault. YSRCP demands swift justice to ensure accountability.
