YS Vivekananda Reddy No More

Pulivendula: A pall of gloom descended on the family of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, as his younger brother, former minister and Member of Parliament, YS Vivekananda Reddy (68) passed away following a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Friday. He had served the people of the region and Andhra Pradesh in various capacities, as MLC, MLA, minister and MP.

Born on August 8, 1950, YS Vivekananda Reddy was late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy‘s younger brother. He represented Pulivendula in the Andhra Pradesh assembly in 1989 and 1994. He also got elected to the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat in 1999 and 2004. In 2009 YS Vivekananda Reddy served the people of the state as MLC and also took up the responsibility of Agriculture Minister.

His sudden demise cast a shadow of grief on the entire region and on Pulivendula, in particular.
