YS Jagan’s important decisions in first cabinet meeting 

 

Important decisions of AP cabinet chaired by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on June 10:

 

Minister for Information and public Relations Perni Venkataramaiah and Minister for Agriculture K Kannababu addressed the media.

·       Cabinet decided for judicial inquiry on irregularities in various departments.

 

·       Ministers to be removed  immediately on corruption charges if any without continuing for two and half years.

·       Govt to act as farmer friendly govt.

·       Village volunteers to be appointed on August 15  help to take the govt welfare programmes to every door step.

·       Village secretariats to function from Oct 2.

·       Rytu Bharosa: Rytu Bharosa to start from October 15. Farmers will get Rs 12,500 under the scheme. Ministers committee to supervise the implementation of the scheme.

·       AP Rytu Commission: Cabinet decided to form AP state Rytu commission for development and welfare of farmers, market stabilisation of agriculture produce. CM to act as chairman with 6 or 7 members including Farmers leaders and agricultural experts.

·       YSR interest free loans: Interest free crop loans to be distributed to farmers. Govt to pay the interest directly to the concerned banks.

·       TDP govt failed to pay input subsidy of Rs 2000 cr to farmers from 2014-18. The state govt decided to pay input subsidy to benefit farmers.

·       Natural calamity fund: Cabinet decided to allot Rs 2000 cr as natural calamity fund and Rs 3000 cr towards market stabilisation fund.

·       Free borewells: Cabinet decided to lay borewells free of cost and make available rigs in all 175 assembly constituencies and 25 parliament constituencies.

·       MSP for paddy: Cabinet decided to purchase paddy by paying minimum support price.

·       Cabinet decided to pay premium towards 100 per cent crop insurance scheme.

·       House sites. Cabinet decided to allot house sites to all eligible people and register the house sites in the name of women by Ugadi festival this year. From next year onwards 25 lakh houses to be constructed under YSR housing scheme.

·       Amma Vodi: Cabinet decided to pay Rs 15000 to each women who sends her children to school. The scheme to be inaugurated on January 26 next year.

·       Cabinet decided to revive cooperative sector. Sick sugar industries in cooperative sector to be revived.

·       Cabinet decided to cancel the outsourcing agencies and consultancies with immediate effect. A committee led by chief secretary appointed to benefit the employees directly.

·       Govt to pay 27 per cent Interim relief rom July 1 to benefit 4.24 lakh employees with an additional cost of Rs 815 cr.

·       Govt in principle decided to cancel compulsory pension scheme. A committee led  by finance minister appointed to study the issue.

·       Cabinet decided to regularise contract employees basing on their qualification. Ministers committee to submit report on the subject.

·       Wage increase for sanitary workers. Rs 18000  per month to be paid to sanitation workers in all departments.

·       Rs 10,000 honorary pay for resource persons and animators of MEMPMA and DWACRA.

·       Quality rice to be distributed in 5,10 and 15 kg packets at door step by fair price shops.

·       Schools to get face lift in four years. Officials to take a photograph of the schools at present and after renovation to be displayed at 40,000 schools

·       Centralised kitchen to bet set up at every 40 km for mid day meal scheme in schools. Rs 3000 to be paid to mid day meal serving workers.

·       State education fee regulatory commission to be set up to provide quality education with reasonable fees. Pvt schools to provide 25 per cent seats free of cost to  poor.

·       Committee to be appointed for reforms in education sector including medical colleges to submit a report in 45 days. MLA to act as chairman of hospital advisory committees. New 104,108 vehicles to be procured.

·       Asha workers pay to be increased from Rs 3000 to Rs 10000.  Anganwadi workers to get Rs 11,500 from the existing Rs
