Will fight against privatization of medical colleges

Nagari, Sept 13: Reiterating its demand to roll back the decision of developing medical colleges under PPP, YSRCP has said that it will fight the decision tooth and nail and slammed the TDP ministers for their uncharitable remarks on former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, former Minister RK Roja said the decision to develop medical colleges by private players should be taken back failing which we will launch an agitation with all stakeholders and explore legal avenues as well.
While Chandrababu Naidu, who has assumed office for the fourth time, could not bring in a single medical college, the first time Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has initiated the process of setting up 17 medical colleges of which five were functional, five other near completion and rest at various stages of completion.
TDP leadership and its ministers have been passing snide remarks on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with absolutely no knowledge about how a medical college is developed and they have no moral right to speak about YSRCP leadership which has been sincere in providing medical care and education to poorer sections of the society.
Chandrababu, who raised Rs 1.97 lakh crore loan could not develop the remaining medical colleges initiated by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and he should answer as to where the money had gone as the poll promises too were not fulfilled. Developing medical colleges under PPP is certainly privatization and we do not buy the coalition argument. We will fight against the move and work with all stakeholders till the decision is rolled back, she said.
State Ministers Anitha, Savitha and Atchamnaidu should be shameful for the failure of coalition government in medical, agriculture and other sections and are parroting the lines given to them instead of opposing the privatization move and challenged to accompany her to the medical colleges started by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The process of completion of a medical college takes seven to eight years and even Mangalagiri AIMS took nine years.
Without knowing these basic people start criticizing through their hat and not head and brushed aside the allegations on YSRCP leadership stating that YS Jagan is available to people and leaders whenever there is an issue but TDP, Jana Sena leaders were not in the State during 2019-24 and even now they are camping in comfort at Hyderabad during weekends for settlements.
It is this lifestyle of coalition leaders that led to the flooding of Vijayawada and when farmers are facing hardships to get urea, the coalition government is mum and the Agriculture minister instead of addressing the issue has been shamelessly passing remarks against our leader, she said adding that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has fulfilled 99 percent of his manifesto while the coalition miserably failed and has acknowledged its failure in advertisement given during its Super Six Success meet which is an utter flop show as the three of the main promises disappeared completely.
