Tadepalli, Feb 26: Affirming that the coalition has ducked the pointed questions in the House on Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation (RLI) project and started speaking in an incoherent manner besides gagging our voice as it has no answers to the issues we raised.
Speaking to media here on Thursday, YSRCP MLA and Party spokesperson Tadiparthi Chandrasekhar said Chandrababu as mortgaged the interests of the people to Telangana for his political and personal reasons.
When raised the pointed issue as to if there was a deal between Chandrababu and his Telangana counterpart of stopping the RLI project in lieu of quashing the cases pending against him as the two names figured in the cash for vote case and the recent fire at the Forensic Lab in Hyderabad further strengthens our doubt, he said.
There has been no answer as to the question of whether or not there was a secret pact betwee Chandarbabu and Revanth and if it was mutually agreed to stop the RLI, there was no answer and when our Party was gagged and mike was denied or cut when we were speaking the truth and rising relevant issue.
On the other hand, the treasury benches go lot of mike time even though they were speaking irrelevant and incoherent issues which show the manner in which the House was conducted.
Chandrababu has been telling lies on irrigation matters and his recent visit to Veligonda project has turned out to be a publicity stunt.
It was YS Rajsekahar and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who made good efforts to bring water to Rayalseema region and at a time when Telangana was drawing 8 TMC water at 800 feet depriving the riparian state of its due share. On the higher side while Karnataka was building project after project lessening the inflow Chandarbabu remained a mute spectator.
At this junction the project was designed to draw 3 TMC water at 800 feet and went ahead with the project which was stopped midway by a secret understanding and he has been sailing on the two boats of BJP and Congress at the cost of state’s interest.
When we were going ahead with the RLI, it was Chandarbabu and his Party cadre that moved the court and stalled it and he did not effectively argue the case at the Green Tribunal, he said.
It was only YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who went ahead with the irrigation projects, more so in Ralayaseema while Chandarbabu was always found wanting on the issue.
The House was misled by the treasury benches on RLI issue and unconnected issues were raked up and the answers given were totally out of context, he said.
In the Council the matter was distorted and there was chaos in the House, he said.
