*TDP coalition responsible for Kakumanu’s Death*

Ongole, Sep 25: YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader Y.V. Subba Reddy and party State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy paid floral tributes to YSRCP Campaign Committee State President Kakumanu Rajasekhar at his native Ongole and consoled his family. 

Subba Reddy said Rajasekhar was a committed fighter who had consistently raised public issues and grown from an Ongole councillor into a State-level leader. He said Rajasekhar participated in the September 22 protest at the SHAP office in Vijayawada over DSC recruitment issues, where police jostling caused him to fall more than once and left him under severe physical and mental stress. He said subsequent reports of cases being registered against him further aggravated the pressure, and held the coalition government responsible for the circumstances preceding his death.

Sajjala said YSRCP had lost a “true comrade” who worked actively at the party headquarters and discharged his campaign responsibilities with commitment. He said Rajasekhar had stood with youth protesting over DSC recruitment and was injured during the confrontation with police.

Sajjala charged that the government was using the police machinery to suppress dissent and said the party would take the issue before the people.

Both leaders said Rajasekhar’s death was an irreparable loss to YSRCP and assured his family of the party’s complete support. They recalled his long association with the YSR family and his sustained work for the party and public causes.
