*Cases cannot silence YSRCP cadre questioning DSC scam: Nagamalliswari*

Tadepalli, June 24: YSRCP spokesperson Nagamalliswari said criminal cases and threats of rowdy sheets would not silence those questioning the government over DSC recruitment and other public issues. Speaking at the YSRCP Central Office, she objected to Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha describing YSRCP leaders and workers as rowdies, goons and a “blade batch”, and said the party would continue to stand by DSC aspirants until their grievances were addressed.

Nagamalliswari condemned the violence near the SHAP office and said YSRCP leaders and workers who had gone there to protest peacefully were attacked and subsequently booked in serious cases, including under SC/ST provisions and attempt-to-murder charges. She questioned why the Yuvagalam team was present at the venue, who brought sticks to the spot and urged authorities to examine the available video footage. She said the constitutional right to peaceful protest and freedom of expression under Article 19 must be respected.

She said lakhs of young aspirants had invested time, money and effort in preparing for DSC examinations and deserved a clear explanation from the government on how the selection process was conducted and on what certificates appointments were made.

Nagamalliswari demanded a CBI investigation into the entire DSC process, from issues surrounding the examination to the final appointments, saying an independent probe should place the facts before the public.

She also demanded that Minister Nara Lokesh resign, holding him politically responsible for the controversy. YSRCP, she said, would continue its campaign until the government answered the questions raised by aspirants and the facts surrounding the DSC recruitment process were fully brought to light.
