*SIT inquiry, mere eye-wash: Perni*

Tadepalli, June 24: YSRCP has termed the SIT probe into the Sai Krishna custodial case as a mere eyewash without following the due procedures and slammed Chandrababu for his caste  based remarks. 
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, former Minister Perni Nani said, the SIT, comprising top ranking officers, seems to be a mere eyewash as the basic manual procedures are not followed and of the 17 persons questioned five are family members and the rest police personnel but it did not question the Task Forces team or other higher officials. 
Chandrababu making remarks based on caste is ridiculous and unbecoming of a Chief Minister and under his Red Book Constitution justice cannot be dispensed as police are being misused to serve his purpose and target opposition.  His remarks on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy performing puja are also uncharitable unmindful of the fact that he visits church and dons the attire of muslims to suit the situation.  
His allegation that political colour is being added to the case is wrong and it is Chandrababu who has been speaking with no composure.
The remand report squarely blames CI Nargaraju for the custodial death and does as if he has done the crime singlehandedly and without any help which is not possible, the torture,  killing and perceived disposing of the body. The Vijayawada Commissioner and his deputy were not questioned.
No call data was recovered of either the CI, or other officials, records were not verified about the crime  record from the date of Task Force being requisitioned to serve the NBW on Sai Krishna from Markapuram .  CCTV footage of the surrounding areas was also not taken. The electronic devices of the CI and other concerned were not collected. 
The court was told that the search was on for Sail Krishna while he was already brought from Markapuram .
