Hyderabad, December 9: YSRCP Employees and Pensioners Wing State President Nalamaaru Chandrasekhar Reddy strongly condemned the TDP coalition government for throwing the lives of government employees into distress by failing to deposit salaries on the 1st of every month as promised. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, he said that even as the month reached the 10th, nearly one lakh employees had still not received their November salaries. He criticized the government for playing with the livelihoods of employees while making grand claims in public meetings as if all promises were fulfilled.
Chandrasekhar Reddy reminded that Chandrababu Naidu, during elections, vowed to ensure salaries would be credited on the 1st of every month, yet managed to keep that promise for only one month. Since then, no salaries have been paid on time. He further stated that despite assuring employees of an Interim Relief (IR) immediately after coming to power, the government has failed to deliver even after 18 months. He also pointed out that the government has not appointed a PRC Chairman and has cleared only one DA while five DAs remain pending. With mounting arrears and unfulfilled commitments, the government now owes a staggering Rs. 32,000 crore to employees in various pending dues. Chandrasekhar Reddy said this reflects the anti-employee, irresponsible governance of the TDP coalition, which has abandoned its promises while subjecting employees to severe financial hardships.
