Police brutality against peaceful student protesters exposes govt fascist mindset

Tadepalli, Dec 9: YSRCP Working President of the Party’s Student Wing A. Ravichandra, condemned the police for behaving disrespectfully and manhandling student leaders who were holding peaceful protests. Despite clearly stating that they wished to submit a representation about student issues, the police refused to listen and instead filed illegal cases.
Students were forcibly arrested and thrown into police lorries, moved from place to place, Duggirala, Tadepalli, Police Battalion, and finally brought to Mangalagiri PS late at night. The State Student Wing President, Panuganti Chaitanya has been jailed for simply exercising democratic rights. Is asking for fee reimbursement now a crime?
Colleges are sending students out for non-payment of fees, yet instead of addressing the Rs. 7,800 crore arrears that pushed students into crisis, the government is arresting those who question it. This is nothing but cruelty and a collapse of constitutional governance. A regime that runs on fear, force, and fascism cannot last. The more they suppress, the stronger the students’ resistance will grow.
