Tadepalli, 17 October: A review meeting of the YSRCP differently-abled wing state committee and district presidents was held today at the party central office under the leadership of Party State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Senior leaders Lella Appi Reddy, former minister Meruga Nagarjuna and State President of the Differently-Abled Wing Pulipati Durgareddy participated.
Speaking at the meeting, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s governance protected the dignity and rights of the disabled, while Chandrababu Naidu’s regime is targeting and humiliating them through pension cuts and harassment in the name of reverification. He said Naidu is acting against the spirit of the Constitution and social justice by attempting to reduce the number of welfare beneficiaries. “Under YS Jagan , governance stood for humanity. Under Chandrababu, governance is driven by cruelty, lies and political vengeance,” he said.
Former minister Meruga Nagarjuna said that disabled persons across the state are being subjected to inhuman treatment by the coalition government. Differently-Abled Wing President Pulipati Durgareddy said lakhs of disabled persons were served notices and portrayed as frauds, damaging their self-respect.
The leaders announced that the Differently-Abled Wing will actively participate in YSRCP’s One Crore Signature Campaign to expose the injustice of the Naidu government.
