Tadepalli, July 24: Former MLA Kethireddi Venkatarami Reddy condemned the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government for using the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a biased liquor case probe dictated by "yellow media."
Speaking at YSRCP’s Tadepalli office, Kethireddi stated that media outlets like Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi publish fabricated stories at Naidu’s behest to target YSRCP leaders, with the SIT filing cases based solely on these reports.
"The SIT is not following the law but the script of yellow media, leaking confidential remand reports to these outlets to defame us," he charged.
Kethireddi dismissed the liquor case allegations, stating, "The SIT has no evidence, only coerced statements."
He noted the alleged Rs. 50,000 crore scam, now reduced to Rs. 3,500 crore, lacks seized funds to substantiate claims. "All distilleries were approved under Naidu, not YSRCP. This is a vindictive plot," he asserted.
Kethireddi criticized the coalition for defying court orders, citing denied police protection for his uncle, Kethireddi Pedda Reddy, despite judicial directives.
He took on Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for losing credibility, being used by Naidu to malign YSRCP, referencing Kalyan’s claims about missing girls. "YSRCP will expose this regime’s excesses and fight for justice," Kethireddi concluded.
