*Lokesh must quit over DSC scam*

Tadepalli, July 29: Former Minister Adimulapu Suresh demanded the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh and a CBI investigation into the irregularities in DSC-2025, including the paper leak and manipulation of Sports Quota appointments. Speaking at the YSRCP central office, he said the government had changed rules to favour ruling-party candidates, withheld merit and roster lists, and failed to answer the documentary evidence placed before the public.

Suresh said the statewide protests organised by YSRCP’s youth and student wings against the DSC irregularities had received a strong response. He challenged Lokesh to an open debate and said that, if the government truly believed the recruitment was transparent, Lokesh should step down and allow an independent agency or the CBI to investigate the entire process.

He also demanded action against illegal sand mining in the Paleru river in Ponnaluru mandal of Kondapi constituency. Despite repeated complaints since June 2024 and letters from the Mines and Geology Department naming local TDP leaders, the police and revenue authorities had failed to act. The department had recommended stringent action, including proceedings under the PD Act or externment, against Anumolu Sudha, Pokuri Ravi, Dasari Krishnarao, Erra Narendra, Kondagunta Srinivasa Rao and others.

Suresh said even the High Court had expressed anger over police inaction, but the sand-mining network continued under the protection of Minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy. He demanded a comprehensive inquiry, assessment of the loss caused to the exchequer and strict action against everyone involved.

Holding the Minister responsible, Suresh demanded his immediate resignation or dismissal by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He said the coalition Cabinet was functioning on a policy of “loot, share and consume” and warned that YSRCP would intensify its struggle for the rights of youth and the public.
