Lokesh cannot even provide proper school bags

Tadepalli, Dec 12: YSRCP Students Wing Working President A. Ravichandra strongly criticised Minister Nara Lokesh, stating that he has failed even in the basic responsibility of providing proper school bags to students. He said a person incapable of supplying quality bags and shoes has no moral right to continue as a minister and demanded Lokesh’s resignation. Despite claiming that bags were distributed after a three-stage inspection, Lokesh should first look at the bags himself before making such statements. The coalition government is all talk and no action, as substandard bags were supplied due to greed for commissions. There is a huge mismatch between what Lokesh claims and what was actually delivered to students. Under the guise of spending Rs. 953 crore, large-scale corruption has taken place.

Ravichandra recalled that during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, students received top-quality school bags, which many are still using even today. In contrast, the present government has provided bags so poor that one wonders how Rs. 2,270 was spent on each Vidhyadri Mitra kit. He further stated that this government has failed even in supplying proper shoes to children. He reminded that under YS Jagan’s Nadu-Nedu initiative, schools were transformed and English medium was introduced, but the Chandrababu-led government has now destroyed the education sector. He concluded that Nara Lokesh, who cannot even ensure the distribution of proper school bags, is unfit for the role of education minister.
