Farmers, our main concern

Amaravati: Minister for Agriculture K Kannababu affirmed that farmers are getting top priority in this government, unlike in TDP rule, who were deceived by the fake promises of Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Minister Kannababu said that the State government gave relaxation for agricultural works during this lockdown period and the second phase of Rythu Bharosa incentives will be provided on May 15. In regard to the tweets posted by Chandrababu Naidu, the Minister said that the opposition leader, who has been enjoying the quarantine in Hyderabad is tweeting about the felling of palm trees and livelihood of toddy tappers in Kakinada. “During TDP rule 130 acres of land in Kakinada rural was taken over by Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC). Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, gave back the land and allocated it for housing to the poor. During leveling the land, 200 palm trees have been uprooted and sadly even this petty issue is also being politicized by Chandrababu Naidu.”

Minister Pilli Subash Chandrabose told farmers not to panic over the COVID crisis, as the State government is extending full support to the farmer fraternity to make sure that no farmer suffers from any kind of crop loss. The government has taken enough measures for the exports of the crops to other countries
