Chandrababu Naidu is a Credit chor

Hyderabad, Nov 13: YSRCP State General Secretary Gadikota Srikanth Reddy came down heavily on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, stating that the inauguration of three lakh houses has once again proved that Naidu is a habitual credit thief who shamelessly claims the work done by the previous government. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Srikanth Reddy questioned how Chandrababu could boast of constructing three lakh houses when he did not acquire even a single cent of land for the poor nor build even one house during his 18 months in power. He explained that out of the 3,00,092 houses Naidu inaugurated with much pomp, 1,40,010 houses were almost fully completed during the YSRCP tenure, another 87,380 reached the slab stage under the previous government, and the remaining 66,845 were already in various stages of construction before Naidu took office. Yet, Chandrababu painted these houses, handed over keys once again, and falsely portrayed them as his own government’s construction.
Srikanth Reddy reminded that the YSRCP government had allotted 31.19 lakh house sites across 71,800 acres in the names of women beneficiaries, sanctioned 21.75 lakh houses, and despite two years of COVID challenges, completed over nine lakh houses. He added that YSRCP even created history by conducting 7,43,396 house-warming ceremonies in a single day on 12 October 2023, an achievement visible to the entire country. In contrast, Chandrababu’s 18-month rule has been filled with misinformation, renaming welfare schemes, cancelling the programmes launched during Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, and spreading lies instead of delivering governance. He also exposed how Naidu is claiming credit for the Visakhapatnam data center project, though the entire process was completed during the YSRCP period when the project was known as the Adani Data Center.
Citing ground-level examples, Srikanth Reddy revealed how Chandrababu inaugurated houses completed in 2022 in Devagudipalle of Annamayya district and houses already finished in Rajiv Nagar Colony, shamelessly claiming them as his own government’s work. He said this pattern of repainting YSRCP-built houses and handing over keys again shows Naidu’s desperation to steal credit. He added that Naidu even betrayed the poor in the Amaravati region by cancelling the 52,000 house plot pattas granted to them during Jagan’s tenure after fighting them in courts earlier. Responding to the continuous false accusations against former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Srikanth Reddy clarified that Peddireddy furnished all documents proving the legitimacy of his lands, yet the coalition leaders failed to substantiate a single allegation even after 18 months of propaganda.
Concluding his remarks, Srikanth Reddy said Chandrababu Naidu’s governance is built on deceit, propaganda, and shameless attempts to appropriate YSRCP’s achievements, and the latest house inauguration drama exposes once again why the Chief Minister is rightly called a “credit chor.”
