YSR Congress Party candidate Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, popularly known as RK, who is taking on Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu's son and IT minister, Nara Lokesh in Mangalagiri said that he was hoping that Chandrababu Naidu would step into the electoral ring. He added that he was fully prepared as a people's man to face up to the challenge which would be on multiple fronts.
Chandrababu and Lokesh have no progress to show for in Mangalagiri. The locals would nail their claims if they said that they laid roads or did any development work, RK said.
Modugula Venugopala Reddy, the YSR Congress Party candidate for the Guntur Lok Sabha seat declared that he was ready to taken on Galla Jayadev, who did not do anything for the area. He hailed the good work done by RK in the region and said that it was because of the YSRCP Mangalagiri MLA that many scams related to Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), came to light.
Venugopala Reddy described Nara Lokesh as the son of a father who had grabbed his father-in-law's party by pulling the rug from under his feet. The YRCP Lok Sabha candidate for Guntur constituency said that the people of the area were impressed by the party's ideology and by Navaratnal which covered all segments of society.
