Chandrababu govt pushing false narrative on Tirumala laddu: Bhumana

Tirupati, Feb 3: Former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy stated that the Chandrababu Naidu government is aggressively pushing a false narrative on the Tirumala laddu issue for political ends. He said even the sacred Tirumala shrine is being subjected to what he described as “Red Book governance”.
In a press release, Bhumana said TTD priests and workers at the laddu potu are facing pressure and harassment from officials to issue statements dictated by the government. He alleged they are being asked to claim that there was a bad smell during laddu preparation and even during naivedyam in the previous TTD Board’s tenure.
He said warnings are being issued that they would face consequences if they refuse to comply, creating fear and anxiety among priests and workers. Many of them, he said, are distressed and have expressed that they cannot make such statements as it would amount to committing a sin.
Bhumana said the government’s actions show no restraint and warned that those responsible for such acts will not be forgiven by God.
