Chandrababu governance is pitch dark

Visakhapatnam, Nov 7: YSRCP State Official Spokesperson Konda Rajiv Gandhi expressed serious anger over the shocking power outage at Visakhapatnam King George Hospital (KGH) and slammed the coalition government for its utter negligence towards public health. Addressing the media at the Visakhapatnam YSRCP office, he said that electricity was cut off for nearly 12 hours in one of the largest government hospitals in North Andhra, yet the government failed to provide even minimum alternative arrangements. Despite the Collector’s office being located right opposite the hospital, not a single official responded, he criticised. Rajiv pointed out that during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, the medical and health sector underwent a massive transformation, but under Chandrababu Naidu, the state has fallen to a level where even basic emergency healthcare cannot be ensured for the poor.
He said that from 12 noon to midnight, hundreds of patients suffered, including those undergoing critical treatment in emergency and specialty wards. Mothers who had just delivered babies, women who came for delivery, and children in pediatric wards faced extreme distress. “Chandrababu boasts about technology, claims he can detect even if street lights go off… but did he not know that KGH went dark for 12 hours? Where did his so-called technology go?” Rajiv questioned. He said if the government can spend huge money on helicopter tours for the CM, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh, why can't it spend even one lakh rupees to immediately arrange generators to save poor patients? He accused the coalition of lacking sincerity towards the health of common people, leading even officials to behave irresponsibly.
Rajiv further recalled that recently, in the tribal region of North Andhra, girl students suffered from jaundice due to a lack of safe drinking water, proof that the government failed even in providing the most basic necessity. He criticised Health Minister Satya Kumar for spreading lies and turning into “Asatya Kumar”. While in the Kashi Bugga tragedy, the government escaped responsibility, saying it was a private temple, KGH is a government hospital with more than a century of history, so who will answer now? Rajiv questioned. He cited the tragic case of a woman named Devi losing her life and many patients suffering unbearable trauma due to the power disruption, stating that the government is directly responsible.

Calling Chandrababu’s regime a “torch-light government”, Rajiv reminded that people worldwide appreciated YS Jagan’s leadership as a “torch-bearer government” in public welfare. He demanded the coalition stop publicity-gimmick summits and show real concern for public health. He warned that YSRCP will never stop fighting for people’s rights, despite government intimidation, and the coalition will not escape the consequences of inflicting such suffering on poor patients.
