Chandrababu, a destroyer of democracy

Tadepalle, Sep 17: YSRCP General Secretary Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi condemned former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu for glorifying Chandrababu Naidu while attacking CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Addressing the media at Tadepalli, she said it was shameful that Venkaiah chose to side with the very man who betrayed NTR and destroyed democracy.
She demanded Venkaiah withdraw his remarks, questioning: “How can anyone call Chandrababu a role model when he backstabbed NTR, usurped his party, seized his assets, and orchestrated the Viceroy Hotel episode?” She suggested that instead of praising him, a book should be written titled “Chandrababu – The Destroyer of Democracy” to reveal his true face to future generations.
Lakshmi Parvathi recalled that Chandrababu not only dethroned NTR but also sponsored slander against him through the media, branding him immoral. “The man who vilified NTR now pretends to worship him. This duplicity defines Chandrababu,” she said.
She criticized Venkaiah for ignoring NTR during his last days, unlike Vajpayee or Advani, who at least reached out. “Venkaiah owes his rise to NTR but never stood by him in his toughest time,” she added.
On Bharat Ratna, she stated: “It was Chandrababu who blocked NTR from receiving the honour when Vajpayee, Gujral, and Deve Gowda supported it. Even now, despite PM Modi’s willingness, Chandrababu resists.”
Contrasting governance, she said YS Jagan created 17 government medical colleges and reformed education under Nadu-Nedu, while Chandrababu privatized them, betrayed farmers, and failed to secure Classical Telugu status.
“Calling Chandrababu a role model is an insult to Telugu people. Venkaiah must withdraw his words,” she concluded.
