Ambati flays coalition’s “deceptive” rule, warns public backlash

Guntur, June 5: YSRCP former Minister Ambati Rambabu has fiercely criticized the coalition government’s one-year tenure, branding it as deceptive and chaotic. Speaking at his Guntur camp office, he declared the YSRCP’s “Backstab Day” protest a resounding success, with people across 175 constituencies rallying against the government’s failures. “Despite police obstructions and false cases, our cadres stood firm, exposing Chandrababu’s oppressive rule,” Rambabu stated. 
He criticised the government deploying police as “TDP goons” to suppress dissent, warning that such tactics could escalate to orchestrating murders, reminiscent of past political violence.
Rambabu recounted being obstructed by the Pattabhipuram Circle Inspector (CI), backed by Minister Nara Lokesh, during the protest. “The CI’s arrogance, claiming Lokesh’s support, shows their disregard for a former minister,” he said, vowing to challenge the false case filed against him in court. He dismissed attempts to intimidate him, stating, “I’ve been in politics since 1989; such cases won’t deter me.” He criticized the government’s failure to register his complaints while swiftly filing cases against YSRCP leaders.
Highlighting the Tuni incident, Rambabu questioned the issuance and abrupt cancellation of a Government Order (GO), calling it a “mockery of administration.” He challenged CM Chandrababu’s claims of being a competent administrator, noting unprecedented public discontent within a year. “The government’s celebrations flopped, while our protest resonated,” he said. Rambabu warned of a looming public revolt, asserting that YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy remains a mass leader untouchable by arrests. He lamented the collapse of policing, with the DGP ignoring his calls, leaving YSRCP to seek justice through courts.
