Tadepalli, June 6: YSRCP State SC Wing President and former MLA T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu stated that the Chandrababu Naidu government has converted every sector of governance into a source of exploitation, including liquor, DSC recruitment, land administration and infrastructure projects. He described the present administration as one built on "DPT – Dochuko, Panchuko, Thinuko (Loot, Share and Consume)," contrasting it with the previous government's DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) model that delivered welfare directly to beneficiaries.
Sudhakar Babu criticised that the public money is diverted to enrich a select group of politically connected individuals, contractors and sections of the media. He questioned the lack of transparency surrounding the construction of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's five-acre residence in Amaravati and demanded disclosure of the construction company executing the project, its land allotment in the Nakkapalli Industrial Area, the price and year of allotment, and the contractors handling the interior works. He also sought clarity on whether the same company is constructing the Heritage Ice Cream project near Medchal in Telangana and urged journalists to investigate the matter.
He further said that prime plots in Amaravati have been allotted to influential industrialists and individuals close to the ruling establishment while favourable media organisations continue to receive benefits through contracts and land allotments. Questioning the role of certain media houses, he asked whether the Managing Director of Eenadu benefited through Polavaram project contracts despite the newspaper failing to acknowledge welfare measures such as the distribution of 32 lakh house-site pattas. He also stated that Eenadu, ABN Andhra Jyothy and TV5 have remained silent on the irregularities of the present government while benefiting from it.
Referring to Amaravati construction works, Sudhakar Babu said spending over Rs.20,000 per square foot on buildings, compared to around Rs.6,000 per square foot for the Telangana Secretariat, reflects unprecedented financial irregularities. He questioned the allocation of thousands of crores for towers, glass façades, lifts, plumbing and design works, alleging that Amaravati has become the epicentre of organised financial loot under the guise of capital construction. He asserted that exposing these irregularities before the people remains the responsibility of the opposition and said the YSRCP would continue to raise these issues despite threats and intimidation.
