Tadepalli, August 21: YSRCP State General Secretary and spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar challenged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh to accept Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s demand for a CBI investigation into both DSC-2025 and APPSC. “If the government is honest and confident, let it order CBI probes into both. YSRCP is ready. Are Chandrababu and Lokesh ready?” he asked.
Jupudi said the government must explain why rules and Government Orders relating to DSC were repeatedly changed, why candidates who qualified and completed certificate verification were denied appointments, whether the question paper or questions leaked, and who was responsible for the irregularities. He said the government could not escape accountability merely because it enjoyed numerical strength in the Legislature. Unemployed youth, students and their parents deserved clear answers, and YSRCP would continue its struggle until the truth emerged.
He said APPSC was a constitutional institution and YSRCP had no objection to an investigation into any issue raised by the government. Y.S. Jagan himself had openly accepted such scrutiny. “If you suspect wrongdoing in APPSC, investigate it. But why use Group-I to divert attention from the questions surrounding DSC?” he asked.
Jupudi demanded that Lokesh resign on moral responsibility and said the demand had emerged not only from YSRCP but also from the continuing protests of unemployed youth, students and parents.
On the Sports Quota, he said exceptional opportunities given to accomplished sportspersons could not be equated with teacher recruitment. Teachers require appropriate qualifications and skills, and political compromises in recruitment could damage students and future generations. He also said the coalition government was weakening educational reforms introduced under Y.S. Jagan, including Nadu-Nedu, Amma Vodi and English-medium education, and urged it to place students’ interests above political considerations.
