YS Jagan attack: No progress in investigation

The murderous attack on AP Leader of opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was carried out at the behest of people with vested interest. And now, the probe is not moving in the right direction.

A huge chunk of CCTV footages taken at the airport have been examined. The call data from the accused’s mobile phone shows scores of calls and 321 people have been questioned in regard to the case, who spoke to the accused over the phone. 72 people close to the accused have been questioned.

The accused was also taken into the custody for six days, by the police. He was shifted to many police stations and police have apparently finished all their regular methods of investigation.The accused said “I have already written in the letter what I wanted to say, nothing much is left to say,” stated the SIT. They also checked for his criminal records, if any in the past. To get to know about his behavior special teams were sent to Hyderabad, Bellary, Goa, Rajahmundry,

East Godavari and West Godavari. Also his friends, now in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha were questioned by special teams.

All said and done, the investigation seems be going nowhere. The investigation is still on but the progress

is not being made public. When asked about the investigation they said “It is

a high profile case and we are not allowed to when the investigation is underway." Police also added that everything will be revealed in the charge sheet.

By the time custody came to an end, 52 people had been questioned, now the fresh number given by the police is 72. But no details about them are being revealed.
