This Is How AP Govt Created History With Grama Sachivalayam Exams

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy declared the AP Grama Sachivalayam 2019 results on Thursday at Tadepalli in Guntur district.

The list released consisted of successful candidates numbering 1,26,728 who will be employed in 19 Government departments to take up the task of door delivery of welfare schemes, to people.Revolutionary changes in Governance would come through Village secretariat. Government schemes would be delivered to the door step of People irrespective of their caste, creed and political affiliations,” the Chief Minister said.

With these results a total of 1,26,728 vacancies will be filled in the prestigious AP Grama Sachivalayam (Village Secretariats ) initiative through this exam.

It may be recollected that more than 21 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam, which were held from September 1 to September 8.

Candidates who have qualified this exam will be provided training for two days-- September 30 and October 1.

The state government has taken steps to provide the services of the village/ward volunteers to make public services transparent and free of corruption.

The endeavour of establishing the village/ward secretariat systems was to ensure that the benefit of "Navratnalu" program implemented by the State government should reach each house hold both, at the ward and village level.

To recruit 11 to 12 Permanent Employees in each Secretariat and improve the quality of Public Service, the Government has created a total of 1,26,728 (95,088 Rural, 36,410 Urban) jobs .

A Common Notification on 26.7.2019 was issued calling for a competitive examination which would be a direct exam with no interview format.

Newly established Village / Ward Secretariat systems will be inaugurated from October 2.

11158 Village secretariats and 3786 Ward secretariats will be established across the state

Examination Procedure

The Gram/Ward Secretariat officials in charge have successfully conducted the six-day selection tests starting from 1.9.2019 to 8.9.2019.

It is a rare record in the history of the country where a State government has conducted a competitive examinations to select 1,26,728 people through a single recruitment notification.
Candidate Attendance

A total of 21.69 lakh candidates have applied for 14 examinations to fill the 19 types of posts. 19.50 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination.

Tests were carried out in a transparent and impartial manner with no scope for errors or glitches.

Evaluation of Answer Sheets
OMR answer sheets of 19,50,630 candidates were scanned in a record time from 3.9.2019 to 9.9.2019

Upon completion of scanning, 10,000 OMR documents were validated by Stratified Random Sampling method and were verified once again by an expert statistical team in this field.

Examination Results
Minimum passing marks for selection of candidates:

• 40% for open category candidates

• 35% for backward classes

• 30% for SC / ST / disabled

Of the 19,50,630 applicants who attended, 1,26,728 passed the test for 198164 jobs.

• 24583 in the open category

• 100494 in the B. C. category

• 63629 in the S.C. category

• 9458 in the S.T. category

• Out of these 1,31,327 males and 66,835 females passed the test.
