The love garnered by the leader of opposition in AP and YSRCP president, YS Jagan, is evident from this one incident. The arrest of YS Jagan that happened in an undemocratic fashion, 4 years ago, left people agonised. They prayed to God for his release, some of them going to the extent of making offerings to Him.
Dastagirimma is one of them. An aged woman from Bojjavaripalle of YSR district, she owed to offer ladoos of weight of YS Jagan at Mabu Subhani Dargah. Her oath remained unkept though YS Jagan had been released on bail. She used to ask every YSRCP leader coming to the village to bring YS Jagan to her.
When the party's MLA, Rachamallu Prasad Reddy visited the village as part of Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme recently, she explained about her oath and went on to show the money she had saved for the purpose from her earnings from working as a labourer.
As Rachamallu informed about her to Jananeta YS Jagan, he came down to Bojjavaripalle to honour Dastagirimma's wish. He visited her house on Proddutur constituency on Saturday night. He greeted her with affection and thanked her for her love. Then he reached the dargah to help her complete her oath. After four years, she was delighted to weigh ladoos of his weight and make an offering.
