YSRCP padayatra to Assembly
Hyderabad, September
16: YSR Congress Party legislators will undertake padayatra to Assembly on
September 17, the opening day of the Monsoon Session, to protest against the
hike in diesel prices and ration on LPG cylinders.
“All our MLAs, led by
Party Honorary President, YS Vijayamma will undertake padayatra from New MLA
quarters to the Assembly tomorrow to protest against the hike in diesel price
and electricity, fees reimbursement, farmers and other issues” Deputy Floor
leader, Dharmana Krishna Das told reporters after the Party meeting held at
Lotus Pond here on Sunday.
A decision to this
effect was taken at the meeting, chaired by YS Vijayamma and attended by MLAs
and MLCs, to discuss the strategy to be adopted during the Monsoon session of
the Assembly beginning Monday.
The legislators will
begin the padayatra from New MLA Quarters and march to
the Assembly to register their protest against the anti-people decisions of the
State and Central governments, Krishna Das said.
