Tadepalli, Oct 20: YSRCP spokesperson Putta Sivashankar said Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan were using friendly media to divert attention from election violence, attacks and nomination obstruction through propaganda over a farm-road dispute and a drugs case.
Speaking at the party’s central office, he challenged the coalition to face elections fairly instead of intimidating opponents and manufacturing controversies.
On the Ananthasamudram road dispute in Pullampeta mandal, Sivashankar said farmers approached the High Court on July 3, 2026, challenging construction across Survey Nos. 351 and 352 without acquisition or compensation. Government counsel informed the court that no gravel road existed or was proposed there. Yet, he said, a road was subsequently laid overnight, and farmers questioning it faced intimidation. The government must explain this contradiction rather than drag YSRCP into the dispute.
Regarding Kakinada’s Satyanarayana, Sivashankar said fellow traveller Arun submitted a written statement before the Ernakulam court explaining that he placed items in Satyanarayana’s bag because his own luggage was excessive. Satyanarayana travelled as a tourist, he said. YSRCP suspended him immediately and could review that decision in light of the statement. He questioned selective coverage of drugs-related controversies involving TDP MP Putta Mahesh Yadav and MLA Adinarayana Reddy’s son Sudheer.
Sivashankar said police-backed intimidation, attacks and restrictions during Dasara had undermined public freedom and Rayalaseema’s dignity. Bringing outsiders to intimidate opponents damaged investor confidence. A government unable to permit opposition nominations cannot claim democratic legitimacy, he said, warning that voters would deliver their verdict against the coalition’s violent politics.
