Speaker: Jupudi -jan17,2012

The Supreme Court did not find fault with YSR Congress honorary president Mrs YS Vijayalakshmi for asking the apex court to shift the illegal assets case of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to any Court other than Andhra Pradesh High Court.
“Since the illegal assets of Chandrababu Naidu is in its conclusive stage, the Supreme Court has said its intervention at this stage is not possible,” YSRC official spokesman JupudiPrabhakar Rao told reporters on Tuesday at the party office here.
The High Court which ordered for a CBI inquiry into the abnormal assets of Naidu has completed the hearing and is about to deliver the verdict, he recalled.
TDP and a section of media have been distorting what the Supreme Court bench comprising, Chouhan, Takur has pointed out, he said.
Jupudi flayed TDP for propagating that the SC remark was like a ‘rap on knuckles’ for Vijayamma and a section of media described it as “slap in the face” “boomeranged “
Asserting that YSRC Party has immense faith in judicial system, Jupudi said, “we complied with the apex court order and withdrew our petition.”
“The Supreme Court has indicated that they can approach the apex body, if the appellant (Mrs Vijayamma) is not satisfied with the High Court verdict,” he said.
Naidu struggles to stop probe: “If Chandrababu Naidu is so sincere why does he not come out clean from the inquiry into charges of corruption and amassing of wealth,” Jupudi questioned.
After High Court has order a CBI probe, Naidu has been leaving no stone unturned in an attempt to stall the inquiry, he said and pointed out as to why Naidu was afraid of the probe on him and his benamis  SujanaChoudhary, CM Ramesh.
Taking refuge under the “not before” clause Naidu could manage the case to shift from one bench to another and brought Reliance group in to the picture. Putting the inquiry on hold does not mean that Chandrababu Naidu is innocent, he said.
“While Chandrababu was the Chief Minister, what were the means that enabled his son to study abroad? What are reasons behind allotting 850 acres to Bili Rao? From the owner of two-acre land how did Chandrababu grow to man worth 2,000 crores? These are the questions raised by Mrs Viayamma in the PIL and Naidu needs to answer the questions,” he said.
Viyamma’s counsel, Sushil Kumar while seeking the transfer of bench, told Justice Rohini that the three earlier cases did not yield favourable results. She, however, ruled out the objection and went ahead with the proceedings, Jupudi said.
