Press Release
Hyderabad, April 28, 2014: Pulling out a big surprise, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken to Hindi while campaigning on his last leg for the April 30 elections and exhorted that people’s welfare is hallmark of YSRCP politics.
We need to change this system and bring in value based politics. We play the politics of people welfare unlike others who come during elections and drift away after polls never to be seen till the next elections.
In the whirlwind campaign of the twin cities and its peripheries, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said: “there is need to bring a change in the political system which has now stooped to new lows and is having only votes and seats as its sole consideration.
We need to change this system and bring in value based politics. We play the politics of people welfare unlike others who come during elections and drift away after polls never to be seen till the next elections.
I appeal you to vote of YSRCP fan symbol and elect candidates who will work for you welfare, he said introduced the Khairatabad assembly candidate Vijaya Reddy who is the daughter of PJR, a known figure in the area. “She will be a real and good MLA and work for your welfare,” he said.
“I am sure of coming to power in Seemandhra and in Telangana as well we will come to power if not in this election, in the next one,’ he said drawing a big round of applause.
When you go to vote, remember YSR and his welfare schemes. Others may make empty promises but when we come to power we will give houses along with pattas and make every welfare scheme a meaningful one, he said.
Though he began his speech at Khairatabad constituency in his inimitable style of thanking the people for waiting for him in the scorching heat, on the suggestion of Vijaya Reddy he switched over to Hindi taking everyone by surprise.
