Naidu protecting both Central, state Govt

Pulivendula, May 22, 2013: Both UPA-2 Government at the Centre and the Congress Government in the state are being protected by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, charged YSR Congress party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma on Wednesday.

Addressing media persons after arriving at Pulivendula from Hyderabad, Smt. Vijayamma said the Kiran Kumar Reddy-led Congress Government has slipped into minority but Naidu came to its rescue by issuing whip to its members during the no-trust vote.

“In fact, Naidu has been protecting both the state and central Governments for his selfish reasons,” she remarked. “He wants to avoid a possible CBI probe on the wrongdoings he committed during his regime.”

Smt. Vijayamma said Naidu has been targeting YSR Congress chief Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy for this reason only. Starting from the MLC polls, he has been in cahoots with the Congress and is enacting dramas now in the name of fighting corruption.

“Both Congress and TDP have conspired and sent Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail. They are now trying to ensure that bail is denied to him,” Smt. Vijayamma charged. She said while the ministers are openly declaring that all the 26 GOs issued by them were in order, the Government has not yet come out with an official statement on the issue.

“When the ministers objected to calling them tainted, how can you make allegations against YSR who is no more? Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy didn’t hold any public post between 2004 and 2009 and he never stepped into the Secretariat. In such a case, how can you find fault with him?’ she asked.

Naidu’s theatrics against the ministers facing allegations have followed his secret meetings with Congress leaders in Delhi during his recent trips, she said, demanding probe into several scams that took place during Naidu’s regime. “Naidu’s involvement in all the scams including the Eleru Canal scam should be probed,” she said.

No public institution is working in a systematic manner in the country under the UPA Government but Naidu has chosen to support it for his own political survival, she charged, adding the Congress leadership has no concern for people’s issues.

Smt. Vijayamma has arrived here on a two-day tour of Pulivendula constituency. She will inaugurate safe drinking water schemes at Vempally and K.Raju Pally today and will participate in the Vardhanti of YS Raja Reddy tomorrow.
