Legal issues politised beyond reason: June 21, 2012

Hyderabad, June 21: YSR Congress on Thursday said legal issues have been politicised beyond reason in the state and ruling Congress and TDP have ganged up during the by-polls and used all power at its disposal to garner votes but failed miserably.
“The luggage checking of Party Honorary President YS Vijayamma is outrageous and we have taken serious note of it. There were many such incidents where our activists were taken into custody and false cases foisted,” YSRC legal cell convener C Nageshwara Rao told reporters here on Thursday.
Even the arrest of YS Jaganmohan Reddy is undemocratic and we firmly believe that there is no case in of a quid pro quo. Though Jagan is only an accused in the case, TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu has been calling him names like culprit.
When Naidu is being accused by Kola Krishna Mohan in money laundering case, he has been taking an offensive stand by questioning the credentials of Kola and his double standards are thus exposed, he said.
When asked about the allegations on CBI officer VV Lakshminaryana, he said, the centre should probe the issue and take action against him as CBI is under the purview of Home Ministry.
On the narco analysis test, he said, it was time and again told by many oraganisations and the apex court also ruled against such tests which amount to violation of human rights. This was only a mind game to send some kind of wrong message to the people.
We will explore legal options in all the issues and take them to a logical conclusion, he added.
