YSRCP to keep off MLC polls

Hyderabad, Feb 4, 2013: YSR Congress Party has decided to keep off the
Legislative Council elections from the Teachers and Graduates constituencies.

The YSRCP Political Affairs Committee (PAC), which discussed the issue,
took a decision to this effect as the elections are being held to elect
teachers and graduates who are not directly related to politics.

The PAC took objection to the silence of TDP President Chandrababu
Naidu towards the Kiran Kumar Reddy-led Congress Government which has slipped
into minority following the announcement by PCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana that
the party had expelled nine of its MLAs.

The meeting was attended by Konatala Ramakrishna, DA Somayajulu, Baji
Reddy Govardhan and Bhuma Sobha Nagi Reddy.
