YSRCP flays Congress remarks

Hyderabad,
May 22, 2013:
Lashing out at Congress
for targeting YSR and his family members in its extended state executive
meeting, YSR Congress has said the ruling party has cheated the people by
dumping the 2009 poll promises and sailing with TDP for mutual benefit.

“Targeting YSR and his family members using
exaggerated expressions and trying to hijack YSR welfare schemes and dubbing
them as Congress schemes amounts to treachery as YSR steered Congress to a
victory in 2009 while his pet schemes were either diluted or done away with,”
party spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar told reporters here on Wednesday.

It is also saddening to note that YSR picture was
not seen at the venue. The nine-hour free power and 30 kg rice schemes are the
twin promises of YSR which the Congress government has never tried to own up
while the Aarogyasri, fees reimbursement and pension schemes were totally
scaled down, he said.

On one hand the speakers were very vocal in
criticizing YSR and family members in the name of economic offences and tried
to project that the welfare schemes were that of Congress party. Congress
leaders went on patting their backs that they have been implementing many
welfare schemes including Aarogyasri.

In reality, Aarogyasri scheme has been deflated and
an eligibility criteria has been fixed for the fees reimbursement scheme which
has diluted the scheme drastically, he said.

The tone of the leaders who spoke on the economic
offences was high and had little or no substance. It was the State government
that has filed an affidavit stating that all the 26 GOs were in order the there
were no deviations as they were issued as part of the government policy.

Only the other day, Dharmana Prasada Rao, has said
that there is no quid pro quo in the 26 GOs issue and the decisions were taken
complying with the business rules. Cabinet decisions are collective in nature
and no single individual can influence the process. He also made it clear that
the GOs form part of the industrial policy of the day.

The ruling Party instead of targeting main
opposition TDP has devoted its entire day of deliberations to criticse YSR and
his family members and try to own up his welfare schemes.

Sidestepping TDP by important leaders and aiming at
YSRCP shows the level of understanding it has with the main opposition party
and the duo is working in tandem against the common adversary YS Jagan Mohan
Reddy.

“This farce is being watched by the people and in
the general elections they will give their verdict in a clear tone putting an
end to the game of nexus between the ruling and main opposition parties,” he
said.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is the true heir of YSR and in
the coming days, it will be proved beyond doubt and YSRCP will get a clear
mandate in the next elections, he said.
