YSRCP stands by the side of handloom weavers

Vijayawada: AP Handloom Weavers' Wing president Chillapalli Mohanrao said that leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy always stood by the side of handloom weavers. He assured the handloom weavers of extending complete support from the party. He said that the YSRCP would stand by their side, whose families were ruined following the mass suicides. 

Speaking to media persons, the YSRCP leader said that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who promised to waive loans of the weavers, failed to implement his poll promise even after two and half years of TDP rule. Total of 33 weavers had committed suicide in Anantapur district alone, he said.

When Naidu government failed to come to the rescue of these families, YS Jagan had conducted a 'Bharosa Yatra' by instilling faith in the bereaved families in the district, he added.

Mohanrao further said that the YSRCP has extended solidarity with the 'Satyagraha Deeksha' launched by handloom weavers which was held on Monday at Mangalagiri.
