YSRCP To Hold Protests For BC Welfare Across AP On Dec 20

Vijayawada: Calling on the party cadre to join the statewide protests on December 20, to condemn the injustice meted out to the Backward Classes (BCs), the YSR Congress party (YSRCP) BC Cell President Janga Krishna Murthy said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had worsened the plight of the BCs.
Addressing a press conference here at the party's State office on Sunday, he recalled that Chandrababu did not bother about the BCs until Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy formed a research committee to evaluate the socio-economic status of the BCs.
Krishna Murthy said Chandrababu was cheating the BC community by calling for meaningless meetings. "In what capacity is Chandrababu holding the 'Jayaho BC' meeting? What did Chandrababu do for the welfare of the BCs? He is a traitor of the BC community," asserted the leader.
The YSRCP leader said it was cruel on part of the TDP to attack the BCs in West Godavari district for not paying the party membership fees. The party is trying to gain BC votes by threatening the community members.
"Will the TDP seek BC votes by supplying scissors and iron boxes? The YSRCP will stand by the BCs and expose Chandrababu's lies and atrocities," he said.
