Hyderabad: YSR Congress would hold a candle light rally On May 5 in all Assembly Constituencies headquarters in protest against the failure of Chandrababu Naidu government in maintaining law and order situation in the state in wake of the heinous rape of a nine-year old at Dachepalli in Guntur district.
The gruesome incident is shame on the governance of Chandrababu Naidu and such incidents have become common after TDP came to power, Party MP YV Subba Reddy told reporters here on Friday.
The brutal rape of the nine-year old is a heinous act which no civil society would accept and during the past one month this is the six incident of sexual assault on a minor in the district which shows how the governance has failed to protect the women and innocent minors.
There were some 25 incidents during the past one month in the state which gives a measure of the law and order in the state, he said adding that as there was no proper and timely action on part of the government there has been a recurrence of such incidents.
The candle light rally would be held in all districts at constituency level in Andhra Pradesh from 6.30 to 7.00 PM, he said.
