YSR Congress Demands Devineni For Open Debate On Pattiseema

YSR Congress Party senior leader Jogi Ramesh demanded Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao to come for an open debate on irrigation facility provided under Pattiseema project and the total acreage of land brought under cultivation under the lift irrigation scheme.

Addressing the press in Vijayawada,  the YSR Congress leader dared the minister to accept his challenge instead of making tall claims on paper and in public meetings on Pattiseema project.

In a scathing attack,  he said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet colleagues were more interested in looting public money. Ramesh questioned the government sincerity in the implementation of the farmers loan waiver scheme.  As against the target of Rs 84,000 crore target , Chandrababu could waive only Rs 24,000 crore loans taken by the farming community.

The YSR Congress leader alleged that the TDP government also failed on all front including providing minimum support price to the farmers. The mango growers were forced to remove their plantations due to non availability of remunerative prices. He wondered the government was seeking farmers help through bonds to run the government.  Ramesh suggested the CM  to divert the crores of rupees invested in his Heritage company to the government.

Ramesh came down heavily on Devineni for not supplying required irrigation water in his own Mylavaram Assembly Constituency and also other areas in Krishna district through Pattiseema. He is ready for debate on the issue in public.
