YSR Congress demands Compensation to Banana & Mango farmers

YSR Congress party senior leader and Uravakonda MLA Vishweshwara Reddy demanded Andhra Pradesh government to pay compensation to the farmers who lost their standing crops in the recent unseasonal rains in the state.
He said Banana and Mango orchards were completely damaged due to heavy gales in the Ramasagaram and Duddekula villages of Belugoppa mandal in Anantapur district. The crops were damaged in nearly 1000 heactres and the farmers fell in deep distress. Reddy demanded Rs 70,000 compensation per acre and rescue the farmers.
The YSR Congress leader also demanded the supply of saplings to the effected farmers free of cost. He questioned Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for not establishing stabilisation fund to protect the farmers .
