YS Jagan Takes Part In Maha Dharna

YSR District: The leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan is participating in the farmers' Maha dharna happening in front of the collectorate in YSR district. He decorated the statue of former CM and legendary leader Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy with flower garlands and paid tribute to him. Then he set out to take part in the Maha dharna that had been initiated as a protest against the Government's not providing irrigation water to Rayalaseema. Taking the issue to the notice of officials and rulers had hardly yielded any result. Farmers and YSRCP activists joined the dharna in huge numbers. Opposition YSRCP has been fighting since the beginning in demand for maintenance of 854 feet level of water in Srisailam and provision of irrigation water to the districts of Rayalaseema. The party has been exposing from time to time the injustice done to the area by the Government.

While 80% of the planned irrigation projects were completed under YSR's tenure, the TDP Government is neglecting to complete the rest of them. YSRCP has performed movements in the past for the completion of the projects, thus benefiting the crop fields and the people of Rayalaseema, much to the indifference of the Government. Today's Maha dharna has been planned to be a protest against Chandrababu's tyrannical behaviour.
