YS Jagan, A Lone Crusader For Special Category Status To AP
02 Mar 2018 10:52 AM

YSR Congress Party leaders said that for the past four years the AP leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been waging a lone fight for special status to the state. On the other hand the TDP is only finding ways to weaken the momentum.
It is this single-minded pursuit of this objective and commitment to the cause which lends credibility to YS Jagan as a political leader and to the YSRCP as a party with a clear vision and ideology. From the day that the undivided state was bifurcated, the YSRCP president has maintained that special status would bring more investments to the state and generate employment opportunities. He also pointed out on several occasions that it would create educational opportunities and will accelerate the growth of the fledgling state of AP. On numerous occasions, he has enumerated the advantages and benefits accruing to the state from the special category status.
Apart from laying siege to all the 13 district collectorates today, the YSRCP has also staged a dharna at Jantar Mantar in the national capital Delhi on March 5.
YSRCP general secretary T Raghuram said that on March 3, the YSRCP MPs will go to New Delhi for attending the Parliament Budget session. They will meet the party chief in Prakasam district, Raghuram informed. YS Jagan will flag off the bus carrying the MPs, who will impress upon the Parliament to give SCS to AP.
